Well darlin's, Spring is finally in the air and that means one thing...FLIP FLOPS!! We can finally kick off our Uggs and let our toes breath the freash air. But hold your horsaes, before you throw on your sandals make sure you polish your toes!
Sping of 2009 is all about high voltage!
Sephora just released their new OPI line. Colors are bright, fun, anf funky. Just the thing to brighten up your mood. My personal favorites are IM Beauty which is a pale yellow (Yellow is very in right now!), Arm Candy, Shopping Frenzy, It's All About Me (all of which are in different shades of pink), and Skinny Jeans (sparkling baby blue). All bottles of polish are $9 each and can be purcashed in your local Sephora stores or online.
Plaid is back! Although I'm not the biggest fan of plaid, I do own two buffalo skirts (you can never go wrong with Free People). So stock up on your cowboy outfits!
Yellow has made it's way back into the fashion district once again. Betsey Johnson has released new earing and braclets featuring (wait for it)...Yellow Taxi Cabs! Totally funky and fun, these must-haves will spice up any outfit!
Green is another big color this season. Bebe has taken a tropical route this season. Some of my favorite tops are one-sleeved, that's right, totally Greek. They are very flattering on and can be dressed up or down with proper accessories and shoes.
Trying to belt your outfits? Well, the big belt is out and the skinny belt is in! Try it out with tailored pants or a classic cardigan. Try funk-a-fying your simple tees and tanks with bold necklaces, definitly an eye turner. Just because the weather's warm doesn't mean it's time to pack up the scarves. Pink is also creeping into Spring. But be on the safe side and just wear one pink article at a time, don't dress yourself like a walking Barbie! *Even if I would kill for her clothes*
Well, stock up on your Spring clothes and remember---always "Pick the right berriii"
(Yes, I do realize how corny that is but it's suiting!)

Welcome to the 80s (again)!
Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping in and checking out my new blog! I'm berri (don't capitalize the b!!) and this blog will tell you everything going on in the Fashion District! I would just like to thank one of my friends, Thea, for giving me the idea and please check out her blog--The Incendiary Goat! Now on with the blog...
Upon entering any history class, the teacher will stress to you how history always repeats itself. What that teacher will probably fail to mention is that fashion is just like history; it is always repeating itself.
Yes, believe it or not fashion always comes back in one form or another. This season the 80’s are back! If you were to ask your mother what she wore when she yes your age, she would mostly likely answer saying how she would tease her hair, crimp it or wear it in a side ponytail. For makeup she would wear blue eye shadow, pink lipstick, maybe add a beauty mole, and of course the all important glitter. She would go out in an off the shoulder shirt, ¾ shirts, miniskirts, or a long tee shirt. All worn with either leggings, leg warmers, or thick belts. All of them ranging in a wide variety of neon colors. Don’t forget the high sneakers, beads, bangles, or the glitter!
Before you freak out about your mom’s old wardrobe, look in your closet. While rummaging through there, you will mostly likely pull out a couple pairs of leggings, ¾ sleeved shirts, long tees, minis, converse sneakers, a big belt to place on your waist, a few dozen bangles, and maybe even a pair of legwarmers. One designer who is going vintage is Betsey Johnson. She recently updated her site with her newest designs. Check it out at www.betseyjohnson.com.
So the next time you are about to tell your mom she doesn’t know anything about fashion, remember fashion always repeats itself. Right now we are reliving the 80’s but who knows what’s up for next year. Anyone up for revisiting the 20’s? I mean who wouldn’t want to wear a fringed dress?
Until next time loviees!
